Today I want to highlight one of my favorite sessions, my shoot with the gorgeous Allie, a Lake Central High School Graduate! We did the Beach & Urban last Fall and a week ago we went to the Garfield Conservatory in Chicago to do a few more with her beautiful Prom dress!

Those who know me, can only imagine how excited I was photographing Allie! A natural beauty who is game for anything and made my job very enjoyable while capturing breathtaking images! Give me a pretty girl with a dress and I am in heaven!

I have been photographing HS Seniors for almost 25 years! It never gets old and I love to focus on one person and just go on a little adventure to discover the person and often re-discover the places I photograph with a new subject!

Allie is smart, kind, engaging and the perfect mix between girl next door and a Beauty straight out of a fairy tale. The little girls we ran into at the Conservatory thought she was a real life princess!

18 Questions with Allie

1. What's your favorite song right now? What do you play on repeat?:

I have been listening to tons of throwback music and Disney songs, they remind me of the simpler times and always put me in a good mood. A song I love is DJ Got us Fallin’ in Love by Usher.

2. What are 3 things you want to accomplish in the next 5 years?:

I want to save as much money as possible, go to the gym more often, and become a successful Esthetician.

3. What is a quote you love or live by?:

My parents always told me “you’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies” in relation to friends.

4. What helps you through difficult times?:

I like to distract myself whether that’s listening to music or going outside on a walk.

5. If you were a super hero, what's your power?:

I would love to read people’s minds.

6. What (Netflix) series do you watch or love to re-watch?:

I re-watch Outer Banks quite often, I love the plot and characters.

7. If you were famous, what would you be famous for?:

I would be famous for being a Model because it’s something people tell me often.

8. Who do you look up to?:

I look up to my parents. My dad owns a business and one day I’m hoping to open my own business one day as well! My mom is also a huge inspiration to me, she has taught me so much about life and how to deal with things!

9. What fashion trend do you think is ridiculous?:

I think wearing pajama pants out in public and to school is ridiculous.

10. What is your favorite outfit ever? :

I love a cute sundress. For my senior pictures I did a lot of sundresses because they’re just easy, simple, and cute. I find a lot of my sundresses at Hollister, Pacsun, or online stores.

11. What are your plans after High School and also this summer?:

I graduated High School at midterm in December, enrolled in Esthetician school and graduating from that in June! I plan to start working and see my friends a lot before they leave for college.

12. What would be the name of a movie you star in?:

A Glimpse Of Sunshine

13. Favorite part of high school?:

My favorite part of high school was football games and Homecoming dances.

14. What is your favorite treat that you'd eat all the time if you could?:

I absolutely love Frozen Yogurt! Sweet Frog is my go-to place for fro-yo.

Allie’s Advice
For Your Senior Year

**“Don’t take anything for granted, next thing you know you are graduating, wishing you had just a little more time.**

15. What can you not live without?:

I can’t live without my family and friends. They’re my biggest support system and always have my back.

16. Best book you've ever read?:

The Summer I Turned Pretty Trilogy. I was so happy to see they released a show for it too which I also love!

17. If you could travel or move anywhere, where would that be?:

I would love to travel to Poland, Greece, or Italy.

18. Why do you think it's important to do senior portraits? What was the best part?:

I think capturing your senior year self and having them to look back on when you’re older is so cool. You can show your future family and friends.
