Chicagoland Photographer | I love your Atoms - Ami & Diego 2 year Anniversary

2020-11-30_0038.jpg

This shoot should be named “What Photographer dreams are made of”. We had one of the most beautiful late fall evenings. Compared to our engagement session a couple years ago it was super warm. You might remember Ami and Diego from one of my favorite sessions ever. Diego proposed in front of my camera and it was incredibly romantic. Most people remember that shoot more than any other I’ve ever done.

Today Diego and Ami are celebrating 2 years of wedded bliss. Both are all about each other, that is why I was so happy to photograph them again. They have so much fun together and the fact that they look like super models it an added bonus. Oh man, the way they look at each other…

We went to a pretty spot in the woods and later to Miller Beach. I love the casual vibe in the first location and the fairy tale vibe at the beach.

My favorite thing about being married is that I can be myself around him. He sees a side of me that I don’t share with anyone else. I love that he knows if I’m having an off day even when I don’t have to tell him. He’ll give me a massage at the right moment when I need one! Being married means sharing all the fun memories with my best friend!

The light at the beach was unreal. Golden and pastel hues. I shot this far away with my 70-200 to allow for truly romantic moments and I basically just clicked away while Ami & Diego did their thing. Do I need to say more, just look at these pictures? They are just genuinely happy to be with each other!

I asked Diego what his favorite thing is about Ami:

sooo many things come up lol but my most favorite thing about Ami is how helpful she is, always wanting to help and she never complains! ... And her beautiful smile.
— Diego ;-)

Ami & Diego I hope you both had the best “Cotton” Anniversary! 2 years is a great accomplishment! Here is to many more! Diego, Ami wanted me to tell you she loves your atoms…ha ha!
