Thank you for taking the first step and reaching out to me. Now you want a bit more info before making your decision. Choosing a photographer for senior pictures is a very important decision. Just like you I want to make sure we are a good fit. So please ask me any questions you’d like!

There is an endless flood of photographers out there, ask yourself why you are drawn to my images? I believe in natural beauty and being honest about who you are. I don’t see a reason to pretend and I don’t care to be popular. I simply love creating and spending time with girls who want something different and who want to feel comfortable.

Somehow this resulted in me photographing High School Seniors for 20+ years and I absolutely love it!!! The only way I am able to preserve my passion is by attracting the right clients. I want you to be happy in the end and I want to be proud of my work!

Who is CHC’s ideal Senior girl?

How boring would it be for a photographer to photograph every single client just smiling and looking into the camera? What does that really say about someone? Of course I do those type of shots as well but I believe there is more to you. Let’s celebrate the complexity of being YOU!

My Seniors are adventurous, open to ideas, super fun, love exploring different fashion styles, are passionate about their hobbies and life in general. Some are outgoing and some are shy at first. If you stay open minded I promise you will have the best time while capturing different sides to your unique personality.

Often Seniors inspire me to create a piece of art. My favorite portrait is a girl in a flowy type of dress or a prom dress with her hair flying. I always say - imagine showing this to your children one day! Or how amazing would it have been to have an image like this of your mom or grandma - holding it decades later and looking at it?! These images are magical and have the most heart and soul in them, as usually the mom's help with the hair toss, and printed on a canvas they are truly a piece of art. Since I see myself as an artist rather than 'just' a photographer, I try to give my clients something that is one of a kind. That’s why I love collaborating with my Seniors prior and find out about their ideas and wishes.

Around Town

$350 due at time of shoot

For your AROUND TOWN SESSION we will stay local to 46307 and do your session mostly around the Courthouse Square. We will find great spots for an urban look and also a park or field close by for open skies and wind blown hair. All locations must be within 5 minutes of Crown Point.

Beach/Park/Urban

$500 due at time of shoot

Although we don't necessarily have to go to the beach, we can travel a bit outside of Crown Point. Let's explore areas outside of Crown Point, such as Miller/Gary/Valparaiso/Chesterton/DeMotte. In the Fall we can go to County Line Orchard or Deep River Park. I love this session for it’s versatility.

Big City

For your BIG CITY SESSION we can go to Chicago or even Indianapolis and explore where the city takes us. These sessions are limited and there is only about 5 spots available each year. It will take up most of the day and is the most fun session I offer.

Limited In home Studio Session

Head Shots | Iconic Portraits

unforgettable portraits that are classic yet modern 

During the months of November through March I am offering these studio type portraits in your home on a very limited basis. Since I don’t have a studio space I will be traveling to you! You must have available space for me to set up.

Price $450 and includes 10 retouched digital images.

Head Shots are portraits typically shot for professionals, actors and models. It's not just a shot of their faces, it can be full body and life style.

The main idea is to show personality, vulnerability and to keep it simple. Inspired by actor portraits of the 90's, I offer a new spin on timeless but modern portraits. Why should iconic images be reserved only for the Rich and Famous?

The most important thing is to be yourself.  What you are wearing is secondary but of course picking the right outfits matters. Something that shows off who you are and helps you remember this time in your life!

I've been know for my flair for the dramatic with my Senior Portraits for many years. I love that dramatic and cinematic feel! You don't need to be a movie star but I'd love to make you look like one! I love that photography let's me explore many styles of portraits. For these portraits I combined my love for old master type portraits with my love for modern yet timeless Fashion & Style.

Q: Why should we choose CHC-Photography, Inc.?

CHC: Because I love what I do and you want a photographer who cares who you are. We will have an amazing time while creating beautiful images. I guarantee this photo shoot will be one of the best days in your life!

 Q: How do we book my session? 

CHC: More than likely we will book over the phone. I usually don’t ask for a retainer unless it’s for a weekend.

Q: When do I need to pay for my shoot? What type of payments?

CHC: The session fee is due the day of your photo shoot! Check made out to CHC-Photography, Inc. is preferred. Otherwise I accept cash or venmo. I can send you an invoice which can be paid via credit card.

Q: Will we get the digital photos and a print release?

CHC: I do offer digital options and have included a few images in each of my sessions. Additional images can be purchased. You will be given a print release.

Q: Will I be able to order graduation cards, large prints, canvases and albums?

CHC: Absolutely! The result of our work together will be the beautiful high end printed images you can treasure for the rest of your life.

Q: Where should we print our photos if we buy digitals?

CHC: I have a list of preferred vendors that I give my clients.

Q: What should I wear?

CHC: We will go over the details during our phone or in person consultation.

Q: Do you provide hair and make-up?

CHC: I can give you recommendations if you need them. Most of my seniors in the past already had a favorite person to do their hair or make-up. I highly recommend a slightly more polished version of how you normally look! Don’t go overboard with the make-up since I want to see YOU and not the make-up!

Q: How far will you travel for my session?
CHC: Anywhere really. I am passport ready! I absolutely love to travel! Once I know your desired destination I will give you a quote. 

Q: How long does the ordering process work? How long before I see the gallery?

CHC: In the Fall it will take 4-6 weeks before I have the gallery ready since I will be on photo shoots most days. You will have 30 days to order before the gallery expires. After your first order I will keep the gallery open for additional orders. If no order is placed within 30 days, making the gallery live again will be $30. I will sent a few reminders so that shouldn't be a problem. 

Q: Can I still do Senior pictures in the Spring?

CHC: Yes! During the months of April and May I do a lot of Senior Portraits. During that time the turn around is faster. I will have the gallery ready within 2 weeks and process orders right away. If you need something within 2 days there will be a rush fee of $100

Q: Do you offer payment plans and can I pay with Credit Card?

CHC: Yes I do offer that. Products, digital files, prints will be rendered once payment is received in full.

Your Senior year and Open House comes and goes but these images will last forever. I hope the fun memories of this experience will last you a lifetime. I am happy to say that most of my clients buy an heirloom album to be able to look back on this amazing experience. I believe in printed memories. Although I offer digital images, I am not taking these gorgeous images to be lost in the digital world.
